抄録

Calcarine cortex has retinotopic organization. This retinotopic organization can be observed by PET under point to point stimulation strategy. Activity in calcarine cortex has stimuli frequency dependence, and increased blood flow is dependent on stimulation flicker frequency. PET also indicate the direction of active pathway in the brain under certain visual stimulation. These include occipito-parietal (dorsal) pathway and occipito-temporal (ventral) pathway, corresponding to spatial recognition and pattern and color recognition, respectively.
