Abstract

Low Activation Ferritic/Martensitic(LAF/M)steel is the first candidate material for a DEMO fusion reactor. The research and development of LAF/M steels is mostly conducted as a part of international collaborations. The properties of LAF/M steels both in irradiated and unirradiated conditions are being revealed by the efforts of many research groups. Some properties of typical LAF/M steel F82H are introduced in this short review and the issues to be solved are also discussed.
