Abstract

The two-dimensional code has fundamentally an ability of improvement on the rate of track(η_r) beyond 1.0. In this paper, we have developed the codes with large η_r, and compared bit error rate with the conventional 1/2(2,7)RLL code. The results show the superiority of the two-dimensional codes to the one-dimensional codes like 1/2(2,7)RLL code at high linear density.
