Abstract

TCPR(Trellis coded partial response) system is well known a fundamental idea for improving code gain deseribed by minimum free Euclidean distance. In this paper, we firstly study required SNR characteristics of both TCPR(1,1) and TCPR(1,-1) systems on the code rate η=4/5 and bit error rate BER=10^&ltg;-5>. The simulation results show the superiority of TCPR(1,1) system. Secondarily, we investigate the dependency of the code rate on TCRP(1,1) system and confirm that the trend becomes remarkably at the normalized linear density K〓2.4.
