抄録

This paper presents a semi-active vibration control method for high-rise building structures arranged in parallel. Connected Control Method (CCM) is used for these structures, applying a MR (Magneto-rheological) damper as a control device. The MR damper has a characteristic of non-linearity due to hysterisis. The model of the characteristic of MR damper is created. A clipped control is adapted for semi-active control. Genetic algorithm (GA) is used for designing the semi-active controller with the characteristic of MR damper. Benchmark earthquakes, EL Centro are adopted to verify the effectiveness of the semi-active control. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the simulation and experimental result.
