Abstract
The evaluation of probability of safety under repeated loading is considerably more complex than that for the first loading application. The major difficulty arises from the condition in which we have to consider the effects as follows. (1) The structures with weak strength fail at the early loading steps, but the structures with strong strength survive, therefore, a decreasing rate of reliability for survived structures become smaller gradually. (2) The deterioration of the strength due to the previous loading causes a diminution of reliability of structures. In this paper, a new analytical method considering the above mensioned two effects is described.
