Abstract

<B>【背景・目的】</B> 高齢化率 (50.7%) の高い山間過疎地域において, 40歳以上の住民に健康・生活に関する調査を行った. <B>【対象と方法】</B> 40~64歳は, 968人全住民を対象とし, 自記式質問紙調査を実施した. 65歳以上には, 1/10年齢別層化無作為抽出による156人を対象に, 聞き取り調査を実施した. <B>【結 果】</B> 回答率は, 40~64歳は87%, 65歳以上は98%であった. 40~64歳の特徴として, 喫煙者は3割おり, ブリンクマン指数600以上が喫煙者の半数であった. また, 飲酒者のうち毎日の飲酒が半数であった. 肥満は3割おり, 男性の肥満の割合が高かった. 65歳以上の特徴として, 罹患率は7割であった. また, 受診や買い物は「村外」が8割であった. 将来は「今の自宅で暮らしたい」と望んでいる者は8割であった. <B>【結 語】</B> 喫煙・飲酒などの嗜好品への対策, 肥満対策, 住み慣れた自宅で生活するための体制整備など成人・老年期における健康づくりや介護予防事業の重要性が示唆された.

<B>Background and Aims : </B>The survey was conducted on residents over 40 years of age in a depopulated mountain village where the elderly account for 50.7% of the population. <B>Materials and Methods : </B>All 968 residents between 40 and 64 years of age were surveyed by means of a self-report questionnaire. One hundred fifty-six residents over 65 years old were randomly sampled in a 1/10 age-stratified manner and interviewed by the authors. <B>Results : </B>The response rate was 87% in the 40-64 year old group and 98% in the over-65 group. The characteristics of the residents revealed by the questionnaire in the 40-64 year old group were 30% were smokers ; half of the alcohol drinkers drank every day ; 30% were obese, and obesity morbidity was higher among males. The characteristics of the residents in the over-65 group included morbidity due to some disease 70% of the population. Eighty percent of the residents used hospitals and clinics and went shopping outside the village. Eighty percent of the residents wanted to continue living in their homes. <B>Conclusion : </B>It is crucial to design health promotion and care prevention programs for adult and elderly residents of depopulated villages. The results showed that smoking cessation programs and programs to control drinking and body weight need to be developed. Health-care system so that residents can continue to live in their own homes.
