抄録

This note examines the activities of the Federation International des Experts Comptables Francophones (FIDEF) with particular reference to the need of technical cooperation. Most of the FIDEF activities show that accounting education is important and the qualified examination should be instituted in the developing countries. Among the programs that the FIDEF organizes, the mutual cooperation with the University of Paris Dauphine is noteworthy. It provides research and training programs for accounting professionals and government officials. As pointed out in the note, the FIDEF is an international agency which promotes mutual cooperation and information exchange on accounting education and practice among the member countries. The FIDEF is different from the public sector in that it does not set up the accounting standards.
