• Optimum Locations for Post Offices in Shizuoka City

Abstract

Optimum locations for 62 post offices in Shizuoka city are reported. Average distance to post office from individual homes is 546m after optimization, compared with the present distance 671m. The minimum number of post offices in which the average distance is not worse than at the present locations is 42. We adopt a simple procedure which works well for these calculations.
