• On Azukarisho (預所) in Mino (美濃) Province in the Modern Age

抄録

Azukarisho (預所) in Mino (美濃) province accounted for 10 percent of all. But the study on them is not enough at present. Therefore, I studied on Azukarisho of the Ogaki (大垣) clan which had the widest territory among them. The government of the peasantry had two aspects: one was by organizing them as regional groups (Kumi 組) under the management of the office (Oazukariyakusho 御預役所), and the other by controling the peasant life by a number of the statutes. The system of tax burdens was composed of the rice paid as rent (Nengumai 年貢米), Komononari (小物成), Takagakarisanyaku (高掛三役) and the other miscellaneous taxes. They were sent to Edo (江戸) by sea and paid to the Syogunate in rice or gold.
