抄録

This study aims at the finding out some trees suitable to the reclaimed land soil in Hachirogata lagoon.<BR>For this experiment 7 species were prepared: Populus nigra var, italica, Zelkova serrata, Ulmus Davidiana var, japonica, Platanus orientalis, Robinia pseudoacacia, Pinus thnubergii and Cryptomeria japonica.<BR>The results obtained were as follows:<BR>(1) All trees except Populus grow better in the plot covered with field soil by 15cm and 30cm deep than in the reclaimed land soil.<BR>2) Only Populus shows the best growth in the reclaimed land soil.<BR>(3) Fertilization effect can not yet be seen in this experiment.<BR>(4) Generally speaking, Populus and Pinus are comparatively suitable species in the reclaimed land soil.
