抄録

We investigated the composition and the characteristics of farm yards of the traditional farmsteads in the Chungdo Region, Korea. The farm yards are fundamentally functional space for an agricultural pructice and a production. On the other hand, the compostion of a yard is affected by Confucianism, and by the characteristics of Korean farm house including both of an enclosed room by the wall and an open room. And, also we can point out the posture of Korean people to keep the nature as possible as it is in the naturally curved fences depending on the landform and in the yard trees kept in the natural forms.<BR>Furthermore, there is a sense of Korean people who do not stick on the lectangular forms in the shapes of the housing lot and the watering place in the yards.
