戸部実之著『モンゴル語入門』における記述上の問題点(言語編) Problems in the Description of Introduciton to Mongolian by Miyuki Tobe(Linguistics)
Introdduction to Mongolian is a booklet consisting of 140 pages in which romanized system is used in writing Mongolian. Roman scripts, however does not correspond to standard cyrrilic orthography. In the main part of the book, u represents Y, and o represents either o, Θ or y, and 〓 represents either Θ or y, and i represents either и, й or ь, and ui reprersents either ы, и, ь or Y й. ng appears only in page 28, althogh n is used elsewhere. The authoor's romanized system changes in the glossary, where u represents either y or Y, and o represents either o, y or Θ, and 〓 represents Θ. In the man paret of the book, syllable structure roughly corresponds to standard orthography, while in the glosaary, different system based on A Modern Mongolian-English-Japanese Dictionary is adopted. The book contains a lot of misprints, too.
