中高生における短眠群、中間群、長眠群の精神保健指標の比較  [in Japanese] Comparison of mental health index among short, middle and long sleepers in Japanese senior and junior high school students  [in Japanese]

Abstract

中高生における睡眠時間と精神保健指標との関連を明らかにするため、群馬県内の中高生男女2,094名を対象に質問紙調査を行った。質問項目は、睡眠指標として睡眠時間、就床時刻、精神保健指標として抑うつ気分、自尊感情、希死念慮、孤独感、社会的支援、登校意欲低下、主観的身体健康観、主観的精神健康観、幸福感とした。調査の結果、1,920名より有効回答を得た(有効回答率91.7%)。睡眠時間の分布は、6時間未満の短眠群は13.0%、中間群は81.5%、9時間以上の長眠群は5.5%であった。短眠群は他群に比べ抑うつ気分が高く、自尊感情が低く、希死念慮が高く、登校意欲が低く、主観的身体健康観が低く、主観的精神健康観が低かった。

To clarify the relationship between sleep time and mental health, such as depression, self-esteem, suicidal idea, loneliness, social support, unwillingness to attend school, subjective physical health, subjective mental health and happiness, the authors conducted a survey. Subjects were 2,094 students of 4 senior high schools and 5 junior high schools in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. We received 1,920 valid responses (91.7%). Results showed short sleepers slept less 6 hours numbered 13.0%; middle sleepers 81.5%; long sleepers slept 9 hours or more 5.5%. The short sleepers had higher depression, lower self-esteem, higher suicidal idea, lower willingness to attend school, lower subjective physical health and lower subjective mental health than the middle and long sleepers.
