造形遊びと創造的ロボット教育の融合  [in Japanese] Fusing of Formative Play and Creative Robotics Education  [in Japanese]

Abstract

小学生を対象としたロボット技術を学ぶワークショップを、1996年から仙台市科学館で開催してきた。この活動から自走式のロボット教材「梵天丸」やLED調光教材「いろは姫」が生まれ、初級コース、中級コースといった学習メニューの開発も行なった。指導を段階的、そして継続的に行うためには学校においての教育も重要であり、同時にロボット教材の小学校での活用にも取り組んできた。本報告では小学校の造形遊びでのロボット教材の活用実践について報告する。造形遊びは創造的な活動を重視しており、技術者教育の導入にも適していると考える。

The workshops with intention to learn robot technology have been held at the Sendai science Museum since 1996. The self-running robot kits "BontenMaru" and LED light control device "IrohaHime" were produced through these activities, and a beginners class course and an intermediate course were provided as learning menus. On the grounds that we considered robotics education in school has needed to be developed gradually and continuously, we attempted to set in robot technology to elementary school class. This is a report that the robot technology was applied in formative play. We emphasize the importance that formative play is based on creative play, and that formative play is suitable for an introduction of engineers' education.
