Abstract

By white paper on Gender equality(2006),in order to realize gender-equal society, the government view that creating an environment for maintaining work-life balance (WLB) and working was important was shown. This paper reviews WLB. Data used in this paper was obtained from survey of companies and employees that suggested the following. (1)There are more employees who are not satisfied with the life based on work than the employee who is satisfied with the life based on work (men are about 2.2 times,women are about 3.8 times). (2)It became clear that the WLB (Family- friendly) policies of the large majority companies should tackle by top priority is with a working-hours problem. (3)It was chosen also from the company as the 1st place by the men-and-women employees are "Relax and abundance is brought to a place-of-work life of employees, and a home and an individual life and Employees can obtain a feeling of happiness now also a place-of-work life, and a home and an individual life". In order to work taking WLB, the collaboration of a company and men-and-women employees are important.
