Abstract

University of Miyazaki (UOM) has performed the arsenic mitigation projects in Bangladesh from 1996. Based on the achievements for arsenic mitigation in Bangladesh, we have surveyed the arsenic contamination in Nepal (2002~2004) and UP State in India (2006~). All the projects have been performed with NPO "Asia Arsenic Network" and NGOs at home and abroad. This paper shows that how we have got the solution for the arsenic contamination in collaboration with AAN and NGOs as well as villagers in Bangladesh. It is an example of contribution to solve geotechnical problems in the developing countries for engineers.
