Abstract
近年の周辺プラズマ計測器の時間・空間分解能の向上に伴い, Edge Localized Mode (ELM)の発生によりペデスタル構造が崩壊していく様子を詳細な2次元像として観測することも可能になりつつあり, ELM研究が新しい展開を見せている.このような現状を踏まえ,本章ではELM崩壊のダイナミクスに関するトカマク装置での最近の実験結果について報告する.通常のHモード放電で観測される振幅の大きなType I ELMに加え, GrassyELMとType II IELMという2種類の小振幅ELMについて振幅が低減する物理機構の違いに着目して比較する.また,ヘリカルプラズマにおいてもトカマクのELMに類似した振る舞いが観測されており,ヘリカル装置におけるELM研究の現状についても概観する.
