Aqueous 5 vol% suspensions with 30 nm SiC particles at pH 7.0 were filtrated at a constant pressure of 0.1-10 MPa to form the compacts of 18-37% of theoretical density. The packing density became higher at a higher pressure. The filtration kinetics deviated from the filtration theory established for the suspension containing well dispersed particles. A new filtration model for a flocculated suspension was developed. The experimental results were well explained by the developed theory except for the final stage of consolidation. When the deformation ability of flocculated particles was reduced, the difference of the consolidation behavior between the experiment and the derived theory became larger.<br>
