Abstract
Individual personality can be decided partly by a domestic environment in which a person has been fostered during childhood. In this study, we evaluated the relationship between mental stability of children and their parents' personalities. We also quantified the brain activity related to mental stability under emotional stimuli using electroencephalography (EEG). We found that occipital activities increased significantly soon after audio-visual stimuli in mentally stable children, while those decreased in mentally unstable children.
