Abstract

Second language acquisition study of Japanese is often considered as fundamental research for Japanese language teaching. However, we have not sufficiently applied the findings of the research to classroom instruction. Therefore, this study examines how we can apply the findings of research to classroom instruction. The result shows that we should not apply the findings of research to classroom instruction and should carry out research for our own classroom instruction. It is most important to discuss issues and ideas with concrete sources like teaching materials.
