Abstract
This paper describes an overview of the Opinion Analysis Task from 2006 to 2007 at the Sixth NTCIR Workshop. We created test collection for 30, 28, and 32 topics (15,279, 8,417, and 11,909 sentences) in Japanese, English and Chi-nese. Using this test collection, we conducted opinion extraction subtask. The subtask was defined from four perspectives: (a) opinionated sentence judgment, (b) opinion holder extraction, (c) relevance sentence judgment, and (d) polarity judgment. 21 run results were submitted by 14 participants. We discuss the evaluation results based on the approach the participants took and the different tendency by languages.
