Abstract

Integrated learning is introduced in high schools in France since 1999. It is called "Education Civique, Juridique et Sociale", "Travaux Personels Encadres" and "Projets Pludirisciplinaires a Caractere Professionnel". I researched three high schools in France and saw classes of ECJS. In integrated learning classes, students decide their theme and obtain information by themselves. They make research documents, debate on the theme and make reports. In this paper, I introduce practices of integrated learning of three high schools and try to recognize examples of integrated learning of high schools. In France, traditional subject learning still holds most of time tables in high schools. But the needs of integrated learning began to recognize gradually.
