Abstract

We take up some topics in textbooks: "Fundamentals of Mathematics", "Mathematics I" and "Mathematics A", and we try to distinguish the notion of "ratio" and "proportion" in mathematics for upper secondary school. From the view point of the ratio and the proportion, we have understanding of the fact keeping in close contact with Mathematics curricula among elementary, lower secondary and upper secondary schools. Moreover, we give a approch to "proportion" with the notion of equivalence relation.
