Abstract
A new LED lighting system that uses Ise Paper Stencils as a lampshade is demonstrated, and its optical properties are investigated. It is found that clear patterns in the Ise Paper Stencils can be observed using blue and green lights as exciting sources. The transmission of the Ise Paper Stencils for red, green, and blue lights is 10%, 0.40%, and 0.15%, respectively. Therefore, the green and blue lights are suitable as the sources for LED lighting with an Ise Paper Stencils lampshade.
