抄録

In this paper, we mainly clarified the reasons why Adele R. Levy Memorial Playground project, which Isamu Noguchi and Louis I. Kahn had cooperated together for 5 years, had no choice but to be discontinued through analyses of letters (1940-67) of Isamu Noguchi. On the process of the analyses, we took notice of three factors as the main reason; budget, political situation in 1960's in New York City and location. At last we regarded following two matters as important; too long term for planning and the location of this project.
