In decameter range, position determination of celestial radio sources based on Very Long Baseline Interferometer (VLBI) observation has been considered to be difficult due to the fluctuation of electron density in the terrestrial ionosphere. However, in Japan, dual-frequency VLBI observations for Jovian decametric radiation (JDR) to eliminate the terrestrial ionospheric effect have been carried out in Tohoku University since 1994. Furthermore, Moon-Earth baseline VLBI observation for JDR sources has been suggested as a future project in recent years. We evaluated the validity of a new VLBI observation method for purpose of determining the source position of JDR with the accuracy of 20 arcsec.
