Abstract

レーザー距離計(Laser range finde,LRF)とディファレンシャルGPS(Differential global positioning system,DGPS)とを組み合わせた地形測量は,フィールド調査における詳細な地形情報の安価かつ迅速な取得を可能とする(早川・津村,2008,地形29,421-434)。その測量手法により得られる地形データの鉛直方向の精度は前報において大まかに1m以下であると推測されたが,他の情報源と比較した精度検証はなされていなかった。本稿では,スイスアルプスの岩石氷河地形を例に,LRFとDGPSを用いて作成したDEM(Digital Elevation Model)の精度を,より高精度なRTK-GPS(Real-time kinematics GPS)測量による標高値(位置精度:数cm)と比較することにより検証した結果,0.8mという鉛直精度が確認された。

Combined use of LRF (laser range finder) and DGPS (differential global positioning system) enables quick and cost-effective acquisition of detailed topographic data in field sites (Hayakawa and Tsumura, 2008, Transactions, Japanese Geomorphological Union 29, 421-434). However, the accuracy of the measurement method remains to be clarified especially in relation to the reference data from other source. Here we assess the accuracy of a DEM (digital elevation model) of a rock glacier in the Swiss Alps constructed using LRF and DGPS by comparing with elevation values of RTK-GPS (real-time kinematics GPS) measurement data whose accuracies are known to be sufficiently high. The vertical accuracy of the DEM is numerically evaluated to be 0.8m, and the measurement method is confirmed to be accurate enough for various kinds of geomorphic analyses such as monitoring meterscale changes in surface topography of the rock glacier.
