グローバル規模で激しい競争が展開する現代資本主義においては、産業集積地域においても環境変化に応じて旧来の生産・流通のシステムを根本から変化させていくことがますます重要になってきている。本稿では、こうした集積地域の再帰性に注目する。そうしたダイナミズムの力が発揮される仕組みを、コンヴァンシオン経済学のパースペクティブに依拠することで、マクロ経済的次元の制約下でのローカルな慣行の生成・変化として、理論と実証の両者を架橋しつつ検討した。……

In the context of industrial agglomeration studies, I argue about the research program of Economics of Conventions (EC)and application to the empirical study of "Worlds of Production" theory (Storper and Salais 1997), which are based on EC. Firstly, I examined the development of EC and its theoretical tools. It is important to distinguish two dimensions of the convention: 1) a rule, which coordinates individual behaviors and 2) a collective representation (“evaluation model"), which coordinates the individual representation. Secondly, I described some forms and roles of conventions in Imabari industrial district, which is a Towel production area in Ehime pref. Thirdly, I verified whether the success of production system in Kojima industrial district, which is an apparel production area in Okayama Pref., is derived from the structural conformity of the "possible world" with the convention as an evaluation model. ......
