抄録

Single crystals of δ-Al_2O_3 were successfully grown for the first time by the dc electrolysis of the Al^<3+> ion conducting Al_2(MoO_4)_3 solid electrolyte at 11V, 900℃. It becomes possible to artificially grow such an intermediate phase as δ-Al_2O_3, because it is not necessary to heat the starting material above the melting point of alumina.
