Abstract

火星表層の水循環や気象学の理解を目的とする火星周回衛星の検討を進めている.可視〜赤外域での高解像度の分光撮像による水蒸気マッピングと大気力学場モニター,そしてサブミリ波サウンダーによる水蒸気やその他微量ガスの3次元分布の観測が,二つの柱である.着陸機による局地気象の直接観測や大気電気観測との連携についても検討中である.
