Abstract

我々は,波長可変連続光(CW)レーザを用いて遅延干渉計を安定化させることにより,隣接光パルス間の位相差を任意に制御・安定化する光時分割多重(OTDM)回路について検討を行っている.今回,80 Gbit/s(2×40Gbit/s)OTDM多重回路に本位相差安定化技術を適用し,隣接光パルス間位相差の安定化を図った.15℃から35℃にわたる周囲温度の変化に対して,RZおよびCS-RZ出力光スペクトルの変化が抑圧されることを確認した.

Phase difference between adjacent optical pulses is stabilized by means of stabilization of a delay interferometer (DI), which can be considered as an optical time-division multiplexed (OTDM) multiplexer. A continuous wave (CW) tunable laser, where the wavelength is different from that of the optical pulse, was used to stabilize the DI. We applied this stabilization scheme to an 80Gbit/s (2x40Gbit/s) OTDM multiplexer. In the experiment, we have confirmed that the variation of the optical spectrum for both RZ and CS-RZ output was suppressed with temperature change between 15℃ and 35℃
