本稿は、粤北山間部ヤオ族の移住と文化的適応について論ずるものである。本稿ではまず粤北山間部ヤオ族の移住の基本状況について紹介し、続いて粤北ヤオ族の移住の要因に関して多角的な視点から分析する。筆者は、建設工事にともなう移住以外にも、政治的、経済的、生態的要因が粤北山間部ヤオ族の移住を引き起こしていると考える。粤北ヤオ族の典型的な移住村において行った調査や多くのインタビュー調査をもとに、物質・社会・精神の三つの側面から、ヤオ族移民がその三側面においてどのように適応したかについて分析する。そのうえで、様々な要因から移住したヤオ族の文化的適応状況について比較分析を行う。最後に、そのなかから問題点を指摘し、解決の糸口を探る。 In this paper we will discuss the resettlement of the Yao nationality and its cultural adaptation. At a beginning we will try to depict the basic situation of resettlement of the Yao nationality in the mountainous area of northern Guandong, and then inquire into the reasons for their resettlement from several viewpoints. We discuss political, economic, and ecological aspects, as well as the construction of a hydroelectric dam, which caused the resettlement of Yao nationality in this area. Based on data which we gathered though interviews with many Yao people living in the typical resettlement villages in northern Guandong, we analyze cultural adaptation in terms of material, social, and spiritual aspects. And then, we compare several patterns of their cultural adaptation caused by the different processes of resettlement. And finally we will point out the problems related to their resettlement and, at the same time, try to suggest ways to solve these problems.
