抄録

The psychological relationship between patient and doctor has been recognized as an important relationship since ancient times. We must be careful with it, especially in the case of child patients, as the patients are immature both in mind and body. That is to say, dentists need to have close relationships with infants and their protectors according to confidence. However, it is difficult to create a social interpersonal relationship of a six-year-old or younger infant. Ozaki et al have been developing an original method that judges infants' fear and anxiety using a miniature dental treatment room with dolls. With this, we evaluated the infants by combining Ozaki's methods and psychological developmental test from a clinical approach. The relationship among the pediatric patients, parents and families had the closest relationship, though it is understood that the diagnosed infants were greatly influenced by the parents in the genetic consideration for the three cases. Moreover, it is understood that it is possible to diagnose an infant's psychology by closely observing it's appearance during treatment.
