# 技能の定量化に関する研究 : 第1報,動作部位の3軸回転角度からみた動きの分析手法  [in Japanese] Study on Digital Measurement and Formulating Method for Skilled Motion : 1st Report: An Analytical Method of Skilled Motion Using Three Axis Rotational Angles  [in Japanese]

## Abstract

In Japan, there is an urgent necessity to establish an analytical method and system to formulate skilled motion to support and develop a manufacturing style where highly experienced engineers and workers continuously introduce new products and technologies. We are studying how to establish a skill training system using the following steps. STEP 1: Development of analytical and representative methods, and numerical skill criteria for the three-dimensional movement of the human body, materials, and tools, variation in grasping force for materials, human touch and sight senses, and so on, from the task data of skilled workers. STEP 2: Establishment of a training system that teaches work-related skills based on scientific skill criteria. STEP 3: Establishment of a training system that teaches workers in a short period of time. In this paper, we propose a method to analyze the three-axis vector direction calculated from a three-axis rotation angle measured by three-dimensional magnetic sensors that are attached to the forearm, tools and workpieces. As the three-dimensional location and three-axis rotation angle can be measured by three-dimensional mangetic sensors attached to an object, three-axis unit vectors can be calculated by a rotation angle-rotation axis translation matrix to show the direction of the object. Calculated unit vectors(x,y,z) are shown in a two-dimensional representation graph composed of two graphs; that is, one is plotted as a point ((sign x)x^2, (sign y)y^2) in an area of x^2+y^2&le;1 under the condition of z&ge;0, and the other under the condition of z<0. This method is applied to formulate the motions of a skilled worker (74 years old) carving a traditional handcrafted mask for a sacred dance based on the direction of the workpiece, tools and three positions of the forearm.
