抄録

Marine fuel oil becomes poorer quality since high cost arises from exhaustion of fossil fuels, inflow of investment and etc. On the other hand, The IMO (International Maritime Organization) will introduce strict measures on air pollutant from ship. In particular, it is absolutely essential that emission reduction of PM (particulate matter).Therefore, Coal Oil was focused in our study as next-generation fuel. In our previous study, DS (Dry Soot) and SOF (Soluble Organic Fraction) behavior in the PM was reported. However, the characteristics formation about Cenosphere has not been clarified yet. In the present study, combustion state and exhaust gas property about Coal Oil or Coal Oil water-emulsified fuel burning inside a boiler was researched. As a result, following results was confirmed (1) Coal Oil have low reaction rate because there are aromatic series, (2) SOx and NOx concentration in Coal Oil emission can be reduced by water-emulsifying, (3) Cenosphere in Coal Oil PM are approximately 70-80 wt%, and (4) exhaust gases from Coal Oil contain carcinogens substance, E.G. pyrene or benzene series compound, but these emissions reduced by water-emulsifying.
