抄録

It is important to understand the characteristics of plastic material for applying the laser forming method to plastic material, since plastic material is very sensitive to temperature change. Plastic material is divided into two kinds of crystalline and non-crystalline, and deformation behavior would be different due to the difference of properties between crystalline and non-crystalline. Therefore, internal stress and deformation characteristics were experimentally investigated in laser forming of HDPE with crystal and ABS without crystal. Under the same maximum surface temperature condition, the bending angle of ABS was smaller than that of HDPE. Stress distributions were analyzed by FEM using results of unsteady heat condition analysis. Maximum equivalent stress of ABS was smaller than that of HDPE, and stress generation area of ABS was narrower due to the difference of thermophysical characteristics.
