- B35 Static and Dynamic Characteristics of Water-Lubricated Porous Thrust Bearings
抄録
Recently, aerostatic thrust bearings have been widely applied to precision devices because of their excellent accuracy of motion. However, it is said that aerostatic bearings are prone to cause nanometer order of vibration due to low viscosity of air. Therefore, in order to achieve sub-nanometer order of accuracy in precision devices, bearings with larger damping coefficient is required to suppress very small vibration. In this paper, a water lubricated porous thrust bearing is proposed as a precision bearing with larger damping coefficient The static and dynamic characteristics of water lubricated porous thrust bearings were investigated numerically and experimentally. The usefulness of the proposed thrust bearing was confirmed.
