抄録

This paper presents the effect of ambient pressure on the combustion behavior in CNG direct-injection stratified combustion by use of a Rapid Compression Machine (RCM). The ambient pressure is set to 0.1, 0.15, 0.175, 0.2MPa. In higher equivalence ratio, increase of the ambient pressure has decreased a peak of the NOx concentration. In lower equivalence ratio, increase of the ambient pressure caused the decrease of combustion limit. The trade-off of NOx and CO is canceled by increase of the ambient pressure. In previous viewpoint, NOx mass against the maximum pressure rise due to combustion is decreased by increase of the ambient pressure.
