抄録

Low temperature catalytic gasification of lignite has been studied using novel alkali metal carbonate(K_2CO_3)supported perovskite type catalysts. K_2CO_3 supported on perovskite oxides showed higher activity than K_2CO_3 supported on alumina and K_2CO_3 itself under the gasification conditions of less than 800°C. Furthermore, K_2CO_3 showed different activities according to the composition and crystalline property of perovskite oxides. Such differences of K_2CO_3 came from crystalline defects of perovskite oxides which would change the surface acidity. Different syngas compositions of higher H_2 and low CO_2 and also less tar formation during catalytic steam gasification of lignite were also confirmed.
