福祉科高校生の高齢者イメージに与える社会福祉現場実習の効果 Effect on the Image of Elderly Observed among High School Students of the Welfare Course who Participated in Social Welfare Practical Work

福祉科高校生が高齢者をどのようにとらえているかを測定するイメージ尺度を作成し,「身体的特徴因子」「内面評価因子」「性格特性因子」「全般的評価国子」の4つの因子を抽出した.次に,高齢者イメージの学年間の違いや社会福祉現場実習前後の自己評価変化との関係を検討したところ,普通科は3年間で変化がほとんどみられないが,福祉科は3年間で変化がみられた.すなわち1年生から2年生で変化があり,2年生と3年生ではあまり変化がない.また,福祉科の実習前後の変化は,2年生の実習前後が顕著であった.さらに,自己評価表の評価点と高齢者イメージ得点の変化から,利用者理解が深まれば,高齢者イメージは肯定的になるということが示唆された.これらの結果から,施設実習で高齢者と接することの意義を考察した.

An image scale to measure how the high school students of the welfare course regard the elderly was created and four factors, "physical feature", "mentality evaluation", "character trait" and "general evaluation", were extracted. The difference of images of elderly among the 3 grades and the changes before and after the practical work were investigated. Chage was hardly seen during 3 years in the general course, while some change was found during 3 years in the welfare course. In detail, some change was found between the 1st and 2nd grade, while the 2nd and 3rd grade showed little change. As for the change before and after the practical training of the welfare course, some change was found in the 2nd grade where such training is given, while no change was found in the 3rd. Based on the change of self-evaluation sheets and image of elderly's score, if user's understanding deepens, image of elderly would be affirmative. Consequently, the significance of practical training lies in the change of student's image through contact with the elderly.
