Abstract

筆者らは,平面構造で複数の減衰極を持つ周波数選択板(FSS : Frequency Selective Surface)を共振器として用いたFSS装荷導波管フィルタを設計してきた,本報告では一層の小型化を図るために,フィルタの同軸入出力部にFSSを用いた新しい有極導波管フィルタを提案する.本フィルタでは同軸入出力部のFSSが同軸一導波管変換器を兼ねるため,通過域ではFSSの共振現象によってモード変換を行う.そのため,同軸プローブから導波管終端短絡までの距離を大幅に短縮でき,フィルタサイズも小型となる.さらに,阻止域ではFSSの反共振現象によって減衰極も形成する.例として共振器3段の帯域通過フィルタを設計した結果,導波管キャビティ1つ分のサイズで6つの減衰極を有する小型かつ高選択性のフィルタが得られた.設計結果の有効性は実験値と解析値の一致により確認した.

This paper proposes a novel coaxial-excited waveguide filter, of which the resonator is a new planar resonator called the frequency selective surface (FSS). The new FSSs located at the input and output ports are directly excited by the coaxial line. In the proposed filter, the transition from TEM to TEio mode is done by the resonance of the FSS. Therefore, the backshort length from the coaxial probe to the shorted end can be chosen arbitrarily. Additionally, the coaxial-excited FSS provides one transmission zero at each stopband. As a design example, a three-stage bandpass filter with 4% bandwidth is demonstrated at X band. The designed filter realizes very compact size of one cavity and has high skirt selectivity with six transmission zeros. The effectiveness of the design results is confirmed by a good agreement between the simulated and experimental results.
