抄録

Spanwise correlation of surface pressure on a 2-D rectangular cylinder with side ratio B/D=0.5 was evaluated based on data obtained in smooth flow and in grid turbulence. It was concluded that the existence of Karman vortices had quite significant effect on the correlation. It brought the spanwise correlation to higher level even in turbulent flow. Spanwise coherence showed that the increase of correlation was recognized not only at the Karman vortex shedding frequency but in also almost entire frequency range in analysis.
