Abstract

type:Article

The purpose of this study was to examine the process how selective attention was shifted for multiple objects simulation at a time. If the selective attention was decided stochastically, the difference reflected information processing style. 13 subjects performed following 4 visual search tasks; 1) Single task 2) Dual task 3) Switch task 4) Random task and their eye movement were measured utilizing the goggle type eye tracking device. As a result, visual strategy categorized 3 patterns, focus type, local type, and wide type. A focus type was small moving range because used visual pivots and these points were difference according to tasks. Local type and wide type were extensive moving range. Further results, the relation between patterns and reaction time, patterns were not significant difference but high performers' percentages of patterns were different. The above results suggested that each patterns can reflect how visual attention moved and switched. The improvement of decision making on selective attention was choosing patterns which best suits demand.
