We have confirmed the practicality of using sloped vegetation bases in the construction of planting ground in areas where mountains have collapsed, and along steep paths where there is the danger of landslides. The planting ground consists of sludge from sewers and waterworks mixed with miniscule grains of charcoal and cedar chips, and waste material leftover from the making of Konjac, which serves as an adhesive that prevents erosion on the growth platform. Through indoor and outdoor experiments using experimental sloped models, examining their mechanical properties, moisture characteristics, we have verified the efficiency of the planting ground. Our results have shown that planting ground does not suffer from the weakening and underwater depletion due to torrential rains and spring water, and function quite adequately as sloped vegetation growth surfaces.
