Abstract

We propose a new type of an optical tactile sensor that can detect surface deformation with high precision by using a principle of an optical lever. The sensor is composed of a transparent silicone rubber as a deformable mirror surface, image pattern to be reflected by the surface, nad a camera to capture the reflection image. It fully make use of resolution of a camera.
