抄録

The cellulosic liquefaction fuel (CLF) was made from woods by the direct liquefaction process. CLF was divided into two fractions:180 to 245 [℃] (CLF1), 250 to 300 [℃] (CLF2) by fractional distillation. Coconuts-oil Methyl Ester (CME) was used to mix CLF and diesel fuel, because diesel fuel and CLF cannot be completely mixed each other. Tested weight mixing ratios of CLF in blended fuel were 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 [wt.%]. The purpose of this study is to analyze the ignition characteristics and engine performance of diesel fuel-CME-CLF blends. When CLF1 or CLF2 were mixed, the crank angle at ignition delayed, however the ignitability was improved in high load operating condition. The engine performance and exhaust gas emission were hardly influenced by mixing of CLF when the mixing ratio of CLF was up to 20 [wt.%]. Therefore, all test fuels can be used for diesel engine.
