Abstract

Authority control is considered to be essential devise continuously on recent discussion about future framework of bibliographic control. On the other hand, "ontology" is considered to be important technical layer of "Semantic Web". In this article, Firstly, I review recent topics related to authority control (discussion toward future framework, name authorities, subject authorities and controlled vocabulary). Secondly, I review ontology and Linked Open Data mainly from the viewpoint of bibliographic control on library community.
