Microstructure and mechanical properties of a Co-Cr-Mo alloy containing high chromium and nitrogen fabricated by Selective Laser Melting (SLM) process were investigated. Columnar structure elongated along the powder stacking direction was observed. Fine cellular structure was formed in the columnar grains. The γ phase was dominantly confirmed by XRD. It was found that the mechanical properties of the SLMed alloy satisfied the standards of dental Co-Cr-Mo alloys (JIST6115 and ISO22674). The γ phase was still dominantly remained after tensile tests, which was different from the conventional Co-Cr-Mo alloys.
