地盤技術者に求められる資格と資質 Quality and Qualification Required for Geotechnical Engineers
This paper describes the quality and qualification requested for geotechnical engineers from the viewpoint of a professional engineer. The best qualifications requested for geotechnical engineers are a professional engineer and a doctorate. However, the technical qualification of a professional engineer and a doctorate doesn't make the sense of the qualification without containing technological practice and polishing the moral sensitivity amid rapid technological developments in recent years. The three duties (prohibition of discreditable acts, confidentiality and correct name indication) and the two responsibilities (securement of public benefits and quality improvement) are clearly stated in Professional Engineers Act as the quality of the professional engineers. The author describes the state of the geotechnical engineers while touching on these contents and taking recent topics.
